ITALIAN 1870/15 PATTERN BAYONET & FROG

Italian 1870/15 Bayonet ,
With a 8.75” heavily Blued blade
Shortened from the 1870 Vetterli sword bayonet
This was Officially done and re issued during WW1
(Due to a shortage of available weaponry.) .
Blued cross guard and pommel
With freely moving push button & long leaf spring
(Cross guard stamped DF 6496)
Dark horn or composite grips held by 2x Screw bolts
Original Black ribbed Leather Scabbard
Has been shortened to fit the blade ,
With stampings to the back JNA 1935
Original brass top and bottom mounts
In its correct Olive Green / Grey leather frog.

Possibly a Spanish Civil War issued piece
(This would have been obsolete by 1935 )

A good untouched bayonet
A nice addition to to any collection
A wipe over with oil would bring it up a treat
