UNUSUAL BRONZE PLAQUE WW2 ? POST WAR ?

Unusual Blackened Bronze plaque ,
Approximately 5” x 3” in size
With fixing (Screw ?) holes in each corner.
Cast with the words -
“PROVIDED UNDER BRITISH AID”
My guess it’s off of a piece of machinery,
But it could also have been off of a heavy duty crate
No real idea of age .
Post War or Possibly Colonial usage?
