Identical to the Imperial German 1898
Except for the markings
No Imperial exceptance or proof marks
With the Peruvian National Crest on the pommel end.

20.5” polished , pipe backed blade
Maker marked - SIMPSON & Co SHUL
Cross guard stamped 25132
Two piece grooved wooden grips held by screw bolts
Pommel with working push stud ,
As mentioned Peruvian Crest to the pommel end.
In its steel mounted black leather scabbard
Frog stud numbered 22352.

A very vice bayonet in good clean collectible condition
The external metal work was red rust when obtained
I’ve given it a very light clean and it’s come up well.
Further cleaning should bring this up to a mirror finish
Definitely worth putting a bit of time into this one
It’s got a cracking blade & Scabbard leather
Just finger bloom as can be seen on the metalwork .
