JAPANESE 1897 PATTERN ARISAKA BAYONET
1897 Pattern Japanese Arisaka bayonet.
To be honest not in the best of condition
(It was a recent shed find )
But an honest WW2 bring back .
Wrap round wooden grips are worn
Pommel & Cross guard are “Grey” & grubby
With some minimal pitting, & remains of blueing
Muzzle ring has had a slight knock from behind.
Pushing it ever so slightly forwards
(Could be straightened out very easily I’m sure)
Pommel stamped with serial number 10615
Blade retains almost all of its heavy oil blued finish
It’s maker marked with a central circle and three rings
Either Kokura Arsenal or Koishikawa Arsenal in Tokyo
Contained in its steel scabbard,
With ball finial and frog loop.
