WW1 CANADIAN ROSS BAYONET 2nd PATTERN

Nice example of a MK11 Ross Bayonet & Scabbard
All external metalwork with a dark patinated finish .
(Hilt / Pommel and Cross guard)
One side of the pommel is marked -
” ROSS RIFLE CO. / QUEBEC / PATENTED 1907”
The other with Canadian ownership mark
(Broad Arrow within a C )
An inspection stamp & 11 (MK 11 )
1/17 -January 1917 -Date of manufacture
With a freely moving push button .
10” single edged blade,with sharp cut back profile
Has a pleasing light grey colour to it.
Contained in its original Brown Leather scabbard
With its frog & belt loop.
Marked to the rear MK11 & dated 1916.
All in all a very nice honest example .
In good collectible condition.
