WWI FRENCH CITRON GRENADE CANDLE STICKS

Unusual pair of “Trench Art “ Candle Sticks
Made using a pair of French Citron Grenades
(Appear unissued not dug relics )
Fitted to cast iron bases with a large screw
(As per photo)
Being painted a somewhat iffy shade of dark green.
The paint appears to have definite age .
No idea if it’s period or not but I suspect so.
Could be greatly improved if -
They were stripped off and re painted .
Unusual items a nice addition to any WWI collection
