1944 DATED US FOLDING SPADE & COVER

1944 Dated folding US Spade
A little grubby with some light surface rust
With quite a dark patina to the metal
It nothing that couldn’t be cleaned off if desired
Green paint on the handle has been removed
Leaving just the bare wood (Some chips scuffs etc)
Nothing you wouldn’t expect from an item of this age
Contained in a 1945 dated US OD Cover
Maker marked “ROBEY TACKLE CO
With adjustable wire hanger to the back
Lift the dot closure to the front flap.”
Complete with a US serviceman’s name and number
“S.HOLDSWORTH 36049712”
General age related wear to the cover & spade
Nothing to detract at all from either item.
