1888 - 1903 BAYONET FIGHTING KNIFE CONVERSION

Unusual fighting knife
Possibly made from either a 1888 or 1903 bayonet
Or even an old sword blade ??
Double edged blade just a tad under 8” in length
Totally devoid of any markings at all-
(If there were any they have been carefully removed )
With a well defined central ridge & ricasso
(As seen on both 1888 & 1903 pattern bayonets)
Shaped brown leather wrapped grip
With brass ferrule & end cap
Hand made heavy brown leather scabbard
With integral belt hanger (Slots)
And a hole possibly for a missing hilt retaining strap.
Very well made & tactile
Hilt May have been lacquered at some point
A nice one off example good addition to any collection
